There was this promise I made to myself when I first came to Hollywood. I was going to meet as many actors, stars and whomever I could that is part of the business. Show Business!
When I first arrived, I was really not even involved at that time or even thinking I wanted to be a part of the Biz. That was an epiphany moment. A real Ah! Ha!, thank you Oprah.
The movement into the Hollywood Business just seemed like a fit from the moment I realized.
Rand, you are in Hollywood!
I had originally come to Los Angeles following a love. That love did not work out but I did. Out of that tragedy came a gift. I had found a business that touched every creative light in me.
A business with so many facets that I could never be bored. The reason I came to Hollywood was part of my path search for myself. It did not define me!
I defined it.
It was such a great marriage for me. I loved everything and anything about it. Even my store on Amazon is called Hollywood Star Store. My search for directing became my path for writing.
My search for love became my passion for actors. It still very much is just that. I wanted to know everything about the business of acting. To this day I am thankful for some of the most intense conversations of life, of living that I have had with my actors.
It's time for a little magic don't you think. I had a dream..... a wonderful dream!!
It's a full house of the A list actors to the beginning hopefuls.
My secret is that I am always looking for the actors with the star power.
By aiming to that large goal, it awards me with the best. I honor my friendships and my loves with them. I am protective of all that we shared. When you have those big Hollywood moments with the true stars, they are magical.
They are addictive!
They are real!
That's why you protect those moments cause if you tell those moments to the world, you lose those moments forever.
You see by wanting those very conversations, I found that in reality I was one of them.
The more intense the friendships, the bigger the moments.
These are things you have to do on your own.
My closeness with each of them is my own personal closeness.
They have and in most cases never been able to open themselves up to me like they did. It was a very simple thing really.
I see them as they are.
I see them as what they want to become.
I see all the magic, the flaws, the less than perfections they carry and most importantly I accept them as individuals. I like them for their flaws.
That's what make them stars.
Those bigger than life moments they put on the screen are their very personal moments being worked out or enjoyed again or in some cases cried over again. That's how we come to perform.
It takes guts to be yourself in front of people. You have to become steel so you are not destroyed.
A truly great gift by being your honest self is that the people that get to know you are left with so much energy and life. To be around that light makes them better as well.
Before you know it you have given the people the best gift you have to give. Yourself. You!!. Yes You!!!
Don't you just love Hollywood. I sure as Hell do. Cheers to all my actors. It's your turn to take a bow.
Let's end on a high note with some traveling music. The Show Must Go On!!
Rand Angel for Live Live Live (Livelivelives.com) and Hollywood Star Store.
